News was received by his parents on Friday of the death in a clearing station of Private W. J. Davies, Villiers Road, Ammanford, son of Mr. John Davies (“Cwm”). He took part with the Welsh Regiment in the recent big battle in France, and was so severely wounded that he succumbed to his injuries. Prior to volunteering he was a collier at the Wernos Colliery. (Fallen).
