News has been received that Private D. J. Jones, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Jones, Maerdy-bach, Llandebie, has fallen in action in France.

He enlisted in December, 1914, and was attached to the Warwickshires. He was 26 years of age, and was well thought of in the village. Prior to the war he worked as collier at the Llandebie Colliery. He has a brother serving with the artillery in France.
