There is a considerable augmentation to the number of members of the Ammanford V. T. C. by the decision of the Local Tribunal to give exemption to married men conditionally upon their joining the V. T. C. An excellent parade on Wednesday evening was the result.

At Ammanford Police Court, on Monday, before Mr. John Lewis, Brynrhug, Emmanuel Williams was brought up on a charge of being an absentee from the 2/7th Warwickshire Regiment.

The accused said he belonged to the 1/4th Welsh, and he didn’t agree with his transfer to the Warwicks. He was remanded to await an escort.

On Wednesday, John Pugh was charged with being an absentee from the 22nd Welsh Regiment. He was also remanded for an escort.

LLANDEBIE

On Whit-Monday, the members of the V. T. C., under Commandant A. E. Du Buisson, paraded and marched to Glynhir, where they were put through their drill, and afterwards entertained to a splendid spread in the billiard-room.

Besides the Commandant there were present Mrs. DuBuisson, and the Misses DuBuisson (sisters of the donor of the feast).

Before the company left, a vote of thanks was heartily accorded them, on the motion of Mr. R. Mathews, seconded by Mr. J. Ernest Davies.
