LETTERS FROM FRONT.

Lance-Corpl. John Lewis, R. W. F., writing to Mr. J. L. Williams, Maesyquarre, on January 3rd, from Salonika, Greece, thanks him for the kind letter and good parcel he received on Christmas Day. It was on the way over a month.

The cigarettes, cocoa and coffee came in fine, as their food was bully beef and hard biscuits. It made him think of the good time he had at Maesyquarre.

They were about 20 miles from Salonika, working from morning till night digging trenches, but they had now finished, and were ready to meet the Bulgarians to have a good fight. He adds: “This year we shall do our great victory.”
