The following letter has been received from Bugler W. J. Davies, of Glanamman, who is with the Salonica Force : —
“Dear Sir, – I am taking the pleasure of writing you these few lines for all the Valley boys, and am glad to say that we are in the best of health, although the weather is getting very could out here.
Am glad to say that we get your paper every week, and every one of us reads it. We are out of the trenches now at present, but we are expecting to go in before the end of the week. Last night we had a few shells over our camp, but nobody was hit.
I am glad to say that our Battalion did well when we last went into action; we had some D. C. M.’s and a few medals. So I think that the Welsh are doing very good in this war.
We are all hoping for a safe return when all is over.
