Collections are made throughout the Amman Valley for the relief of wives and families of men serving in the Territorial Forces, which are as follows : —
4 th Welsh Regiment, D, E, F, G and H Companies; Welsh Field Company, R. E. ; C Squadron, Pembroke Yeomanry; and the newly formed Carmarthenshire Half-Squadron Welsh Horse.
Already a fund exists for supplementary relief to the families of regular soldiers, and it is hoped that a hearty response will be given to the appeal for the Territorials.
In many cases, where illness occurs, the allowance given by Government is barely sufficient to keep a family in food alone, and this excellent fund will just provide for making both ends meet.
We who are dependent on our brave soldiers in this terrible war should all do something for the wives and children of those who are fighting for us.
