AN Ammanford motorist escaped with minor injured on Monday when her car careered down a 15 foot embankment.
Fireman were called to cut Carol Harker, of Heol Wyrddol, Tirydail, from the wreckage of her Austin Ambassador, because it was feared she had severe neck and spine injuries.
Mrs Harker was rushed to Llanelli's Prince Hospital, but released after treatment.
The accident happened at 8.25am on the Ammanford to Pont Abraham roundabout.
A fire brigade spokesman said Mrs Harker was fully conscious while the roof was cut from her car, but appeared to be in considerable pain.
“Ambulancemen present at the scene were concerned that Mrs Harker may suffered severe injuries to her back and neck,” the spokesman told the Guardian.
“They asked us to use our hydraulic equipment to cut the roof from her vehicle, before moving her.”
