A SECTION of road at Glanaman was closed for an hour on Friday morning after a lorry owned by MRJ Waste, from Gorslas, toppled over near Central Garage, shedding its load.
A fire crew and paramedics, from Ammanford, raced to the scene as it was not known if someone had been crushed under the lorry, which was lying on its side on a pavement.
The load of scrap metal had also been thrown over an embankment.
It took the services of a heavy duty recovery vehicle to lift the 18 wheel lorry upright before it was towed away.
