CRASH, BANG, WALLOP… Ambulance, Fire crews and Police were called to Gwaun-cae-Gurwen on Sunday, after a transporter lorry carrying coal overturned.
A South Wales Police spokeswoman said: “We were called to Heol Caegurwen, GCG, at 5pm on Sunday after a mechanical fault caused a transporter lorry to overturn, blocking the road. Fortunately nobody was injured but the road was closed off while the lorry was removed.”
There was concern at one time that a pedestrian may have been walking passed at the time. However after thorough investigation it was established, luckily, that there was no one under the overturned lorry.
