AMMANFORD firemen attended a fire at a hay barn and store at Primrose Hill Farm, Penybanc, on Tuesday afternoon.
The corrugated iron building, which belonged to farmer Mr. Gwyn Griffiths, was completely gutted and a quantity of hay as well as windows and timber were destroyed.
A fire brigade spokesman said: “We received the call when we were out on another matter, and got there about 2.30 p.m. The blaze was well alight, but we were able to extinguish it and only one fire engine needed.”
He said the cause of the fire was unknown and was being investigated.
