At a joint meeting of the Ammanford and Cwmamman Urban Councils, held on Thursday night last. Councillor Tom Davies (sculptor) was appointed Fire Guard Assistant Staff Officer, at a salary of £300 per annum
Councillor Davies has held the position of Chief Billeting and Welfare Officer since the Evacuation Scheme became operative.
Ammanford Council afterwards appointed their Chairman, Mr. J. Llewellyn Rees. J.P., to be Deputy Depot Superintendent, at a salary of £4 15s per week.
Cwmamman Council appointed Mr. Harry M. Fuller to a similar position and at the same salary, for that area.
