Further operations on Friday of rescue parties in one of the bombed areas of Swansea area resulted in the recovery of the bodies of two Pontardawe Council full-time firemen at the point it was felt certain they would be ? where the side wall of a clothing establishment had collapsed into a side street.
The men had been seen in the vicinity just before as they were seeking instructions from leaders of the Swansea A.F.S.
